TMP ANNUAL DINNER 2013

TMP celebrated in grandeur its 3rd Annual Dinner
2013 with the theme " Glamorous White". Due to a busy packed schedule in December, 2013, the event was moved to
10th January, 2014. Held at the
Jasmine I & II ballrooms of RH Hotel, Sibu, the event was somewhat different from
previous years as it was a joint
collaboration with Tanjung Manis Development(TMD), another subsidiary of STIDC,
resulting in a merrier and grandieur event.
Following the opening speech by TMP’s Director, Tuan Haji Hashim Bojet, the
night’s event started with the dinner, and a multimedia presentation chronicling
TMP’s & TMD’s journey from its
formative years to present day. Also featured were choir, cultural dance,
2-piece band show by TMP’s staff.
This was followed up with a speech by TMP Chairman Datu Haji Sarudu Bin Hj.
Hoklai and the presentation of certificates to TMD staff and APC to TMP staff.
The night progressed smoothly, interspersed by more karaoke sessions and lucky
draws.
Among the highlights were the handing over of “ Statement of Compliance ISPS Code Certificate” for OGC Jetty by the Assistant Director of Marine Department, Central Region, En. Marzuki Brahim to TMP Executive Director, Puan Sadiah Bt Tu.
The culminating moment of the night was a fitting tribute in recognition of the services of outgoing TMP AGM(A/F) Haji Latiff Bin Coupon as TMP bade farewell to Haji Latiff who left TMP on 1st January, 2014 to take up his new appointment as General Manager of Tanjung Manis Port Authority (TMPA). TMP’s very own versatile singing sensation,Miss Khairunissa rendered a Malay number for Haji Latiff on this night of mixed emotions as TMP bade farewell to one of its pioneer senior managers.
The night ended with exchange of Letters of Appreciation and souvenirs to our Chairman Datu Sarudu and followed by karaoke singing by both staff of TMD & TMP, the crowning of King and Queen of the night bagged by AGM( Op/Tech) Haji Hassan Hasnan for his “sporting showmanship” and Acting AGM(A/F)/Accountant Puan Sabarina Ibrahim respectively. The night tapered off with more lucky draws and at the end, it was truly a night to remember.
